Making the battery last

  • Charge every bracelet before each voyage, and whenever the Galvanic App shows the battery below 20 %.
  • The bracelet must be completely dry before charging. Charge only from USB power sources rated 5 V / 1 A maximum.
  • For storage longer than one month, charge the battery to about 50 % first.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • The battery can be replaced by an independent professional. Do not open the bracelet yourself.

Disposal: your role and where to take it

  • Do not dispose of the bracelet or its battery with unsorted household waste.
  • Take end-of-life bracelets to a separate collection point for electrical and electronic equipment and batteries, or return them to Galvanic Works S.L. (address above; contact info@galvanicworks.com).

National collection and take-back schemes, and the producer registration numbers, will be published on this page.

Handling a used or damaged battery safely

  • A lithium-ion battery contains a flammable electrolyte. It may burst, vent or ignite if it is crushed, punctured, disassembled, short-circuited or exposed to fire or high temperatures.
  • Do not puncture, crush or disassemble the bracelet, and do not expose it to fire or extreme heat.
  • Stop using a bracelet that shows signs of swelling, overheating or damage, and take it to a collection point.

What the symbols mean

Crossed-out wheeled bin The bracelet and its battery must be collected separately, not thrown away with unsorted household waste
CE The product conforms to the applicable EU legislation
QR code Leads to this page
“Cd” / “Pb” Shown under the bin only when a battery contains more than 0.002 % cadmium or 0.004 % lead. The Galvanic Pulse battery contains neither, so neither is shown

What the battery is made of, and why disposal matters

Declared composition by weight: lithium cobalt oxide 34.5 %, graphite 17 %, copper 15 %, aluminium 10 %, ethylene carbonate 5 %, dimethyl carbonate 5 %, ethyl methyl carbonate 5 %, styrene-butadiene polymer 2.8 %, lithium hexafluorophosphate 2.5 %, nickel 2.2 %, polyvinylidene fluoride 1 %.

A lithium-ion battery thrown away with household waste or left in the environment can be crushed or damaged, and may then vent, burst or catch fire. Its materials must not be released into the environment. Separate collection lets the battery be handled and treated safely.
