These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Galvanic mobile application (“the App”) provided by Galvanic Works S.L. (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

1.1 Description

The Galvanic App is a free companion application for Galvanic Voice devices. It allows you to:

  • Configure and monitor your Galvanic Voice devices
  • Manage vessel settings and crew access
  • Receive notifications and alerts

1.2 Free Service

The App is provided free of charge. In exchange, we use anonymized data to improve the App. Our aim is to make Galvanic the reference tool for sailors.

1.3 Changes to Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

2. Your Account

2.1 Registration

You must create an account to use the App. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your credentials secure
  • Notify us of unauthorized access

2.2 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with the App’s operation
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Share your account credentials

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Galvanic Works S.L. and protected by intellectual property laws.

4.2 Your License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Galvanic Voice Devices

5.1 Device Connection

The App connects to Galvanic Voice hardware devices. The App’s functionality depends on proper device setup and connectivity.

5.2 Safety Disclaimer

The Galvanic Voice system is a convenience tool and is NOT a substitute for proper seamanship, safety equipment, or navigational judgment. Always maintain a proper watch and follow maritime safety regulations.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GALVANIC WORKS S.L. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is zero, as the App is free).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Galvanic Works S.L. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
